Trethorne has recently received official recognition and reward for the significant improvements made to the golf course over the past two years. The English Golf Union has formally approved the use of Trethorne to host one of its major amateur events, the Parman Trophy in the Summer of 2008.
This 72-hole, 3 day event will be played from August 5th to the 7th and is now in its twelfth year, having previously been held on the Jack Nicklaus Course at St Mellion. With its growing prestige, the event regularly attracts between 120 and 140 of the UK’s finest amateur golfers and more recently from Italy, Spain, Australia and the USA. With handicaps ranging from scratch to plus 4 this tournament should produce some spectacular golf! |
