Paragon Leisure Management Ltd, the lease-holder at Trethorne Golf Club, was incorporated on the 7th September 2005. The Company has at present two Directors:
Jon has over 20 years experience in the leisure and hospitality industry, working for large companies including First Leisure Corporation, Esporta, American Golf and Crown Golf. He has held general management positions within Family Entertainment Centres, Health & Fitness Clubs, Hotels and Golf & Country Clubs. His final post prior to forming Paragon was as General Manager at St Mellion, Hotel, Golf & Country Club in Cornwall.
Robin brings a wealth of business knowledge and experience to the company. After leaving the RAF, Robin worked for National Car Parks (NCP) for a number of years, before forming his own very successful car park operating company, which he eventually sold to NCP! Robin is also a co-director of a successful building company, Stevenson Homes, based in Launceston.
Paragon has held the lease at Trethorne Golf Club in Launceston since November 2005. During that time, significant improvements have been made, and are still ongoing, to both the golf course and the clubhouse, greatly improving the overall presentation of the property.
The Gentlemen's Changing Rooms and toilets have been completely refurbished in April 2009, and planning permission has been passed for the extension of the main restaurant and the development of significant Conference & Banqueting facilities. It is the desire and intention of the company to make year on year improvements to the golf course, clubhouse and accommodation provision.
Paragon tendered for and won the contract in February 2009 to operate the Food & Beverage services at Launceston Golf Club. Launceston is owned and operated by the membership, and has been established as a club since 1910.
The operation at Launceston is managed by Chris Brewer, and it is Paragon's responsibility to deliver a high quality, value for money food and beverage product for both members and visitors.
